Modern science confirms that the Sun travels in its own orbit — but the Qur’an mentioned this 1,400 years ago.
Allah SWT says in the Quran,
...Sun and the Moon, each floating in its orbit. (Quran 21 : 33)
How could this knowledge have been revealed at a time when no one on Earth could have observed such motion? Surely, this is clear proof that the Qur’an is the word of Allah.

In 1512, the astronomer Nicholas Copernicus put forward his theory that the sun is motionless at the center of the solar system and that the planets revolve around it.
The belief that the sun was stationary was widespread amongst astronomers until the 20th century.
However, modern science has now confirmed that the sun is not stationary
but is moving in an orbit around the center of the Milky Way galaxy.
The Quran mentions the orbit of the sun as:
"It is He who created night and day, the Sun and the Moon, each floating in its orbit." (Quran 21 : 33)
The description given in the Quran had been considered wrong until just a few decades ago. But today's science clarifies that the sun is not stationary as thought before, but it moves in its own orbit as mentioned in the Quran about 1400 years ago.
This is yet another proof that Islam is the true religion. How could Islam have known this 1,400 years ago when modern science has only discovered it recently?
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established till the sun rises from the west, and when it rises (from the west) and the people see it, then all of them will believe (in Allah). But that will be the time when 'No good it will do to a soul to believe then. If it believed not before.."' (6.158)...

Scientists found out about how it happens. Scientists have been doing research on Mars for a long time. Mars, which rotates in the same direction as the earth, has now started to rotate in the opposite direction. Now the sun rises from the west on Mars. This phenomenon is named RETROGRADE MOTION, and this happens to all planets. Amazingly, EARTH is next!
I don't use science to judge the Quran. But I use the Quran to judge science. The Quran is scientifically and logically the most perfect and flawless book. Indeed, the Quran is much higher than science.
