...one of the ants said: "O you ants! Get into your dwellings lest Solomon and his army crush you unawares."
 [Quran 27 : 18]
Today, science confirms that ants communicate by producing vibrational sounds through their abdomen and legs.
Modern science is only now telling us about the communication of ants, but the Quran told us the same thing 1400 years ago.

Let’s look at another point in this verse.
Why did the Qur’an use the word “Crush”?
The Arabic word يَحْطِمَنَّكُم (yaḥṭimannakum) comes from the root ح ط م (ḥaṭama), which means “to crush,” “to shatter,” or “to break something brittle.”
This is different from “kill” or “press.” It specifically describes breaking something hard yet fragile, like glass.
Ants have a hard outer shell called an exoskeleton, made of a material called chitin.
Chitin is strong but brittle.
When pressure is applied,
it does not bend or flatten like soft tissue; instead, it shatters, just like glass.
Over 1,400 years ago, the Qur’an used a word that perfectly matches the scientific reality of ants.
Every word in the Qur’an is chosen with perfect accuracy and scientific truth.
This verse strongly indicates that the Qur’an is truly the word of Allah.
The use of the word “crush” in this verse is not a coincidence.
It reflects a deep linguistic accuracy and scientific truth—showing that every word in the Qur’an is chosen with divine precision.
