Modern science discovered that two seas meet but they do not mix, but the Quran told us 1400 years before it was discovered.


It is He who has joined the two seas; one palatable and sweet, the other bitterly salty and has established a barrier between them as a partition. [Quran 25 : 53]


How could the Qur’an mention this scientific fact more than 1,400 years ago, long before modern science discovered it?


This is something truly worth reflecting on. It reminds us that the Qur’an is not the word of man but the Word of Allah—who knows all things.

The fact that the darkness under the sea was discovered recently. But the Quran told us about this darkness under the sea 1400 years before it was discovered.


The Quran says: ...darknesses in deep sea covered by wave over wave, above which is a cloud... (Quran 24 : 40)


In this Qur’anic verse, there are two remarkable scientific signs:


1-The darkness under the deep sea was recently discovered by scientists. But it was mentioned in the Quran 1400 years before it was discovered.


2-The fact that an internal wave exists in the deep sea is something that was impossible to know by the primitive science of the 7th century. But in that same century, the Qur’an clearly told us this hidden reality.


This verse is yet another powerful sign that the Qur’an is the word of Allah.
