| | Some verses are clear statements while other verses may have several possibilities.

It is God who has revealed the Book to you in which some verses are clear statements (which accept no interpretation) and these are the fundamental ideas of the Book, while other verses may have several possibilities. Those whose hearts are perverse, follow the unclear statements in pursuit of their own mischievous goals by interpreting them in a way that will suit their own purpose. No one knows its true interpretations except God and those who have a firm grounding in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All its verses are from our Lord." No one can grasp this fact except the people of reason.

    | | Science And Faith

Question: Is it correct to refresh our faith through the Quran and science?

Answer: Based on the facts of science, refreshing our faith is not correct. When a saying of the Quran is proved as fact by a scientist, then we rejoice and our faith reaches to the sky and we start to share it in Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp groups, etc.

"Think about this, what would you do if a scientist speak against the Quran?"

 Will your faith weaken?

Is your faith in Allah based on the words of these scientists? If so, understand that your faith is not complete.

Alhamdulillah We should have faith in Allah SWT, His Messenger (PBUH), the
Quran, and the Hadiths, not on any scientists' opinions, their findings, proofs, or discoveries.

Today's science may initially say something different, then it may come closer to the Quran a
little, then it may move away from the Quran again, then it may start saying something else, but
in the end, it will always come back 100% towards the Quran. This has been happening since
before and will continue to happen until the Day of Judgment.

1400 years ago, the Quran stated that the sun orbits. However, in the 19th century, science held
that the sun is stationary and does not orbit. Then, in the 20th century, science began to assert
that the sun is not stationary but it orbits.

Which viewpoint did people from the 19th century would believe? the Quran's or science's? If
people in the 19th century chose to believe in science instead of the Quran, they would have been
proven wrong.

"Little knowledge is a dangerous thing; a little knowledge of science may make you an atheist,
but in-depth knowledge of science leads you to believe in Allah."

The Quran states that there is darkness in the depths of the oceans, and indeed, this is true
because Allah SWT, the Creator and Master of the universe, affirms it. Consider this: if today's
science were to claim that there is no darkness but only light in the depths of the oceans, who
would you believe—the Creator of this universe, Allah SWT, or science? Science, which
sometimes proves to be true and sometimes false.

Allah SWT said in the Quran : ...and you have been given but little knowledge. [Quran 17 : 85]

1400 years ago, the Quran stated that the light of the moon is reflected light. However, in the
19th century, science asserted that the light of the moon is its own light. Then, in the 20th
century, science began to affirm what the Quran had stated, that the light of the moon is indeed
reflected light.
So, whose words would the people of 19th century believe, the Quran or science? If they had believed in science and rejected the Quran, they would have been proven wrong.

Likewise, 1400 years ago, the Quran stated that there are pain receptors present in the skin.
However, in the 19th century, science claimed that the sense of feeling and pain was solely
dependent on the brain. Then, in the 20th century, science affirmed what the Quran had
mentioned, that pain receptors are indeed present in the skin. If people in the 19th century had
chosen to believe in science over the Quran, they would have been proven wrong.

I don't use science to judge the Quran. But I use the Quran to judge science. The Quran is scientifically and logically the most perfect and flawless book.
Indeed, the Quran is much more higher than science.

1400 years ago, the Quran mentions that Allah SWT provides milk from between digested food
and blood. However, in the 19th century, science claimed that cow milk comes from the udders,
specifically from the white fat near the nipples. Then, in the 20th century, science began to affirm
what the Quran stated, that milk is indeed produced from between digested food and blood.
If people in the 19th century had chosen to believe in science over the Quran, they would have been proven wrong.

...whose word is more truthful than Allah’s? [Quran 4 : 87]

This is the truth from your Lord, so do not be in doubt. [Quran 3 : 60]

And indeed, this ˹Quran˺ is the absolute truth.
[Quran 69:51]

The engineer who makes the car, not the mechanic who only inspects it. If the engineer says
there are plates inside the engine but the mechanic says there aren't, whose word would you
believe? The engineer, who has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, or the mechanic,
who has much less knowledge compared to the engineer.

The same implies here, Allah SWT is the creator and maker of this universe, whereas the scientists are the mechanics. Whose words will you believe, Allah SWT or the science ?

Therefore, leave the idea of strengthening your faith through science. Strengthen your faith as Abu Bakr Siddiq RZA, Umar RZA, Usman RZA, Ali RZA, Bilal RZA, and other companions strengthened theirs. It means to say bring faith in you like how all the Sahabas RA had brought then without any proofs or science just based on the words told by our beloved Muhammad PBH as directed by Allah SWT.

Allah SWT said in the Quran : This is the Book. In it is guidance, sure, without doubt, for all
who are mindful. [Quran 2:2]

He sent down to you the Book with the truth… (Quran 3:3)

"Do they not ponder on the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other than Allah, they would
surely have found therein much discrepancy." (Qur'an : 4 : 82)

Alhamdulillah, our faith is complete in the Quran, and we do not need any science to bring us faith. This "Quran and science" discussion is only for those who want to understand the religion of Islam through the lens of science and who ask evidence to accept that Islam is the true religion.
